So, right now, I'm in the phase of "healing" after having completed "Partnering." Some people call it "refilling the well," but that metaphor doesn't really fly with me for some reason. I like to think of it more as a wound. You pick and pick and pick at it, writing the play and when you're finished, well, you have this gaping wound. Before you can really play in there again, you have to let the wound heal over...
Maybe the "well" imagery is more pleasant...
I have some books that I'm going to be reading for the rest of the month of December to prep myself for the new year. One is to prime my mind: "The Unheard," which was recommended by my friend Kate. The other is pure fun: "The Bourne Identity," which I got interested in after catching a bit of "The Bourne Supremacy" on TNT with my friend, Andy, while in Chicago earlier this month.
I'm looking forward to no pressure of "writing" for the next couple weeks. I'll still be "journaling," but writing? Nope. This is my healing time.
